Top Activities in Turks and Caicos

May 15, 2022

The Turks and Caicos Islands are the perfect place to rest, relax and restore the soul.  It is truly a bucket list MUST for travelers who desire a destination that soothes the body, mind and spirit.  The sunrises, white powder beaches and water that is endless shades of turquoise have a magical energy that is hard to put into words.  The relaxed island vibe brings a feeling you can’t forget and one that will keep calling you back year after year.

Let’s explore some of the activities that can please even the most discerning traveler.  The concierge at The Shore Club can help our guests arrange all of these experiences.

One of the favorite activities for romance, family time, sport fishing or a vast variety of water sports is renting a private yacht like the ones offered by Prive’.  Their team can help you plan day or overnight excursions that can help you make just about any dream come true.  Everything from catching grouper to island hopping and exploring will have everyone smiling from ear to ear.  You can even plan a romantic gourmet picnic on a secluded beach.

Who doesn’t dream about doing a beach ride on horseback?  Provo Ponies is a wonderful establishment that can create a beautiful excursion.  From beginners to seasoned riders, they will plan the perfect experience – taking the horses for a ride in the ocean right past The Shore Club!

For the more adventurous individuals, there is parasailing or kite surfing.  Both will have the adrenaline pumping for sure! There is nothing like having a birds-eye view of the white powder beaches and pristine water as well as being able to spot some of the larger sea life such as stingrays or dolphins. Kiteboarding in the Turks and Caicos Islands is world-class. Long Bay in particular is the best place to learn this amazing sport.  Protected bays, flat water stashes, waves, miles of empty beaches with perfect sand makes this beach a kiteboarders dream. Kite surfing lessons can be arranged for those as young as 6 years old.

Island hopping to the smaller, more private North and Middle Caicos offer an unparalleled eco-experience.  Grab a paddleboard or kayak and get up close and personal with the crystal blue waters.  You’ll very likely encounter baby sharks, hawksbill turtles, stingrays, several species of starfish, reef fish, upside down jellyfish, green herons and brown pelicans.  You are also highly likely to encounter our famous beach iguanas.  Our concierge can help arrange the perfect day tour, or even an overnight visit at Dragon Cay.

All in all, there are plenty of magical experiences to choose from.  Whether you choose one or choose them all, one thing is certain; your experience will be high on your list of favorites!
