THE 10TH ANNUAL “IN THE PINK 2018” CELEBRATES SUCCESS RAISING FUNDS FOR THE NATIONAL CANCER SOCIETY!

SEPTEMBER 19, 2018 – Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. On Saturday, October 13th, The Palms Turks & Caicos and the organizing committee of IN THE PINK will host the 10th annual “In the Pink” event to raise money for TCI’s Cancer Society. The event plays host to a mega-shopping frenzy, a PINK Poker Tournament sponsored by CasaBlanca Casino and a lavish after-party where PRIME DJ’s will rock The Palms Courtyard well into the night, including a silent auction and raffle giveaways. With donations from corporate businesses and generous individuals, the team transforms The Palms into a shopping paradise, allowing buyers to snag excellent bargains on a wide variety of new and gently used clothing, shoes, accessories and many designer items. After the shopping, the fun continues with a superb after-party in the elegantly pink-decorated courtyard in front of the famed Parallel 23 restaurant. The after-party includes live music and charming “guest bartenders” serving up themed cocktails and raffle giveaways from Jai’s. One of this year’s highlights is the Rolex Oyster Perpetual ladies watch, valued at $5,400 donated from Jai’s.
“In The Pink gives guests the opportunity to celebrate the joy of giving by coming together to enjoy music, shopping, food and friendship. We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with the National Cancer Society as we join the fight against breast cancer, and we are so pleased to support such a worthy cause” said Karen Whitt of the Hartling Group, and committee chairman of the event since its inception. We especially want to thank all the volunteers, sponsors and participants who have supported us in the past and once again for this year’s event.”
Something fun for this year, Turks Head Brewery has created a special “Pink Beer” in honor of our event; the beer, which is a light ale enhanced by hibiscus flowers, will be on tap at the after-party in the Courtyard. Towana Kennedy, founder of the very popular Sip-n-Paint events will also host a live event in the courtyard with 50 canvases being painted while participant enjoy sipping champagne in the courtyard. We are so pleased for all the amazing partnerships with the event, and we look forward to another amazing event.

Breast cancer is a widespread disease that universally impacts our society as a whole. Early detection is key to successfully treating the disease. We are proud to partner with The National Cancer Society to help spread the word about prevention, and to provide much needed assistance for treatment to those persons afflicted with this terrible disease.
In the Pink, a powerful and inspiring event was created 10 years ago to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about steps individuals can take to reduce the risk of getting breast cancer, and raise money to assist those persons locally who require additional assistance with extensive treatments.
